Thus decided to evacuate the populations of 400 to 500 meters from the airport fence, in order to establish a safety buffer zone. The lighting in the port area should be reinforced. According to the authorities, the viewing of surveillance cameras revealed that the clandestine climbed over the fence at Felix Houphouet-Boigny International Airport in Abidjan and accessed the aircraft's landing gear, by grabbing onto it at the moment when the plane was preparing to take off, around 22.55 minutes in the night of 07 to 08 January 2020.
